Yoghurt Rooms Wedding Photographer

Emma & Tim, Yoghurt Rooms

Having grown up on a farm myself, the idea of shooting a wedding on a working farm appealed greatly. The Yoghurt Rooms in West Sussex is a delightful venue and has a really rustic feel. This countryside wedding venue gives couples a great deal of freedom when it comes to planning their wedding, which created a very personal and relaxed vibe on the day.

Simon is a an absolutely great photographer - he captured every moment of our wedding perfectly. His relaxed style was exactly what we wanted - little posing, more action!

He was so friendly and approachable at all times and on the day was as inconspicuous as you can be but also very sociable with our guests. We have fantastic visible memories of our day, thanks to Simon. Emma and Tim

Wedding at the Yoghurt Rooms

I started with capturing bridal prep at the family home in Haywards Heath. The girls were super chilled and I loved the moment Emma’s Gran gave her a you-got-this-it’s-your-wedding-day hug! I arrived at Busses Farm, the site of the Yoghurt Rooms in East Grinstead and got to work documenting the wedding day, starting with the Groomsmen. Check out the awesome blue suit Tim wore with his ushers in contrasting brown tweed. It really fitted in well with the venue!

Emma and Tim styled the space beautifully as you will see. The main barn was used for their civil ceremony and everyone who saw the flowergirl come charging down the aisle with her arms spread out couldn’t help but smile! It was very moving and emotional service and the newlyweds were delighted to share their first kiss as husband and wife!

The confetti tunnel led guests to the marquee where drinks and canapes were served. This is a great time for me to get candid images of guests. I work in very in a documentary style for the day, blending in and letting the action flow. Having said that I do still recommend couples have a few groups shots as well, just not too many!

It was wonderful to take the Bride and Groom away for a short walk around the farm to capture some moments of them together. I don’t ever want this time to feel posed. I want couples to be themselves. By giving people games to play and activities to take their mind off the camera and on to each other, I can capture genuine expression and emotion. Moments that having meaning.

There were fantastic speeches at the wedding breakfast and a party that included cocktail making, live saxophonist in the marquee and a big band in the barn. It was all go!

A little more about this very unique wedding venue. The Yoghurt Rooms is a series of accommodation and spaces from which you can use for your wedding day. The centrepiece is the huge 26 meter long oak-framed barn with exposed beams. This barn was actually built by the owners for their own sons wedding back in 2014, that’s quite the wedding present! With seating up to 150 you can really go wild with how you present this space to your guests. You can stay on site in a number of different studios and apartments as well as glamping. With an after party room for the real ravers, you can be sure your wedding celebrations can go on and on!
