Pre Wedding Shoot London

Anna & Dmitry Engagement Photography - Greenwich Park

It was a gorgeous day in August when I met up with Anna and Dimi in Greenwich Park near their South London home for an engagement photography shoot. The afternoon light was perfect for capturing some truly lovely moments between the two of them, plus some stunning views of London.

The focus of all my portrait sessions is most importantly that they don’t feel like a portrait shoot! Not many people like being posed or made to feel awkward just so they look a certain way. I strive to capture real emotion and expressions, I want couples to be able to relax and be themselves. This can be hard. That is why it is so important that you feel a connection with your photographer, that you trust them and understand the process. In my case this mean that cheesy posing goes out the window and instead we say hello to games, activities and things that will help you completely forget about the camera!

By creating a bubble for couples I am looking to find moments that show how they engage and connect with each other. It might be playfulness of tenderness. It could just be the way they look at each other or hold hands. The experience is so important. By making it a positive and fun session the photographs I take are then linked to that memory. I won’t tell you to smile so you ‘look’ happy, you’ll be so engaged with each other that the natural laughter will beat any cheesy smile! Best of all, the moments are real. I hope you can see what I mean when you look at Anna and Dmitry’s pre wedding photography session in Greenwich Park below.
