A Summer Wedding Celebration at Whatley Manor

Georgina and Tommy // Whatley Manor

Whatley Manor, set in the Wiltshire countryside, was the setting for Georgina and Tommy’s big summer wedding and it was a blast! With everything from prep to dancing held at the picturesque Cotswolds venue it meant guests could settle in for the day and enjoy the celebrations. The outdoor ceremony was beautifully styled by Oops a Daisy floristry who also provided the bouquets and button holes. With a lot of love in the air for these two awesome human beings, emotions were on a high and Tommy only just about held it together as Georgina made her way down the aisle in her Andrea Hawkes wedding dress.

The weather was kind and some cloud later on cleared just in time for a gorgeous golden hour light which I took advantage of to give the newlyweds a little timeout from the busyness of the day and chance to reconnect. It’s always nice to do a second couple session later in the day, particularly on hot summer weddings, because the light is softer and also everyone’s just a bit more relaxed.

DJ Charles Stif, who had come over from France, had the tunes spinning throughout the day and helped create a party atmosphere and the band Flood The Floor enjoyed a fews sets in the evening which the crowd went wild for! I see a lot of dancing at weddings but there was definitely something in the water (or wine!) that day as the level of energy was at an 11 for most of the evening!

With an exciting display by Cotswolds Fireworks adding an explosive highlight to the night it was back inside for another DJ set and more laughing and dancing. Here’s a few moments from the day two give you a sense of a summer wedding at Whatley Manor!
