Wedding Photography Pembroke Lodge

Indian weddings are well known for colour and joy, and this wedding at Pembroke Lodge is no exception! Alisa and Shamil chose this exceptional London wedding venue in Richmond Park for their special Indian wedding day.

Alisa and the girls held their wedding preparations in The Petersham Hotel. The Mehndi ceremony had taken place the previous night. This traditional event is a way of wishing the bride luck and good fortune in her upcoming marriage. The intricate henna designs on the bride’s hands and feet were stunning.

Groom Shamil got ready with family in Richmond. He completed an Indian tradition of breaking a sumput clay pot to test his manhood, all was well on that front! I love that his nephew was on hand to keep him in line with a light sabre!

Pembroke Lodge Weddings

Many couples choose this Grade II listed Georgian mansion for its iconic location. The site itself has 11 acres of charming gardens and it feels like you are in the countryside. Located within London’s largest Royal Park, Pembroke Lodge has fantastic views of the Thames Valley.

Being a Pembroke Lodge wedding photographer for the first time was fantastic. The experienced wedding team here is highly professional and ensured everything ran smoothly.

Alisa and Shamil chose The Belvedere suite to hold their wedding ceremony. This light-filled room can hold up to 140 guests in the day and further 60 guests for the evening reception. The is perfect for the drinks reception. Those with fewer guests can choose the Russell Suite which had incredible views from its first-floor setting.

The civil ceremony was followed by an Indian blessing by the elders. The newlyweds then enjoyed a drinks reception on the Belvedere’s private terrace. With expansive views over the Thames Valley it makes a great backdrop for wedding photographs.

Unposed Bride and Groom Photography

I enjoyed taking time out with Alisa and Shamil to walk around the gardens at Pembroke Lodge. I use a natural approach to couple portraits, never posing people just so look cool, but feel awkward.

Instead, I guide couples with activities that help them relax and be themselves. I want to capture the genuine connection between people. I hope you’ll see the real expression and moments that I photographed.

Celebrating in Style

The wedding breakfast was held in the Belvedere Suite. There were great speeches, fine dining and the piano playing created a lovely ambience. I took the newlyweds out to catch the last of the evening light before returning to the party and dancing.

Enjoy this selection from their wonderful day.
