Roughmoor Farm Wedding Photography

Geraldine & Patrick, Roughmoor Farm

Roughmoor Farm in Somerset is one of my favourite wedding venues to photograph, and Geri and Pat’s wedding held there last Summer was an absolute blast. Spending the morning with the girls and watching the excitement build is always fun. Leaving a super relaxed Geri I then caught up with the chaps at St George’s Church in Taunton, a breathtaking venue and just vast inside, it was definitely worth squeezing up the narrow staircase to get a shot from the gallery!

Already celebrating as they walked down the aisle the newlyweds soon departed in a gorgeous Nissan Figaro. On arriving at Roughmoor Farm the light was beautiful and I took Geri and Pat for a walk and quickly realised how happy these two made each other simply by being in each others’ company.

Back at the reception and all the guests were ready to welcome them with copious amounts of confetti before heading off to enjoy ultra-competitive garden games from skittles to the coconut shy. Tired of coconuts? Just use your friend’s head… The rustic styled marquee with bunting and wildflowers was just perfect and effortlessly cool. When it comes to the wedding speeches. It’s all about waiting for the reaction. From witty Father-of-the-Bride one-liners, the loving words of a husband to his wife, to full character assassinations from the Best Men, they all create priceless moments. This wedding was no exception!

Stealing Geri and Pat away for five minutes after the speeches was another chance to capture the unique love that these to have. It was such a joy to behold. I had a feeling from the start that this wedding would explode when the music started, I was right! A caleigh started things off and the silent disco kept everyone’s feet tapping right through to the end. This was a throughly epic wedding and Roughmoor Farm provided the ideal setting. I look forward to shooting there again.
