Sunny Springtime wedding for Lucy & Russ at North Cadbury Court, Dorset

Lucy & Russ // North Cadbury Court

With glorious weather, joyful guests and a couple very much in love, Lucy and Russ’s spring celebration at North Cadbury Court was awesome from start to finish.

North Cadbury Court: Classic, Charming, and Uniquely Yours

Nestled in the rolling countryside of Somerset, North Cadbury Court is more than just a wedding venue - it’s a storybook country house with centuries of history, spectacular gardens, and the freedom to shape your day exactly the way you want it. The estate is exclusively yours when you book it, giving couples privacy and flexibility without the constraints of set packages, corkage charges, or curfews. From indoor spaces like the elegant North Hall and expansive Ballroom to scenic outdoor lawns, lakeside spots, and even a roof-top golf tee, this Grade I listed house offers both timeless charm and plenty of playful character. With St Michael’s Church just a short walk away, it’s the perfect blend of tradition and relaxed celebration. And once the formal parts of the day are over, there’s lots to explore - whether that’s drinks on the lawn, a dip in the indoor pool, a game of tennis, or an unforgettable dance in the house’s spacious reception rooms.

Getting Ready - Style & Grace

Lucy looked incredible in her gown from Carina B Couture, designed by Suzanne Neville and expertly altered by Louise_At_Latelier for a flawless fit. Hair and make-up were provided by Harriet Gallon, who created a timeless, natural look that lasted beautifully throughout the day. Russ looked equally sharp in classic morning suit from Roderick Charles, perfectly suited to the elegance of the venue. The venue was brought to life with fresh florals by Wren & May, whose bespoke designs use the beauty of the season to complement each couple’s vision. Lucy and Russ’s celebration was captured on video by Sam at Sparks Films, a talented wedding videographer based in the South West of England. Sam’s relaxed and creative style lets you relive your day with emotional and cinematic clarity.

A Picture-Perfect Ceremony and Sunkissed celebrations

Lucy and Russ chose to marry at St Michael’s Church, just a short walk from the main house. The church ceremony was heartfelt and joyful, setting the perfect tone for the rest of the day. During the ceremony, beautiful music was performed by Severn Duo a wonderful violinist and cellist team. Biodegradable confetti was provided by Confetti Bee which topped off the traditional exit celebration. Lucy and Russ made their exit after confetti zooming off in a classic MG, to have some moments together before returning to the main lawn for reception drinks. With incredible weather, everyone made the most of the outdoor space, soaking up the sunshine, playing games and celebrating together.

Food, Cake, Fun… and more Food

Following the formalities and drinks on the lawns under the sun, guests enjoyed an exquisite reception meal crafted by Wild Fork West, known for their seasonal, elegant dishes. Lucy and Russ’s wedding cake - a showstopper in its own right - was created by Cake Design by Holly Miller, who specialises in bespoke edible works of art. As the evening unfolded, The Trends had the dance floor buzzing with energy and the kind of live music that keeps everyone smiling and moving. When hunger struck later on, guests got their fill of the best cheesy chips in the world from the Chip off the Block food truck who served up delicious evening treats.
