If a couple choose to have a hybrid film added onto their wedding photography, here’s how it works: in addition to all the moment-driven images I’ll be capturing throughout the day, I also gather short, video clips to craft a unique highlights film of your wedding (films are typically 5-8 minutes long for coverage of a 12 hour wedding). From the excitement of getting ready to the joy of dancing the night away, the film will show the best parts of your day with movement, atmosphere and emotion all seamlessly captured alongside the stills. It’s exciting to be able to use my knowledge of photography and the amazing Nikon equipment I already use to branch out into the world of film-making.
Yet, let me be clear: the photographs will always come first! They are still the priority and are the main deliverable. The wedding film is another bonus element that will simply add more context, more great moments and another way to relive the day. Depending on the circumstances there may also be the possibility to capture drone footage and audio from the ceremony and speeches and use parts of this in the finished film. * No extra people or equipment: As I’ll already be there photographing your day, there’s no need for another videographer with extra gear in your personal space. This can be a really important thing to consider particularly in close settings or heart-felt moments.
* Discreet and unobtrusive: Since I'm already close to the action, I’m able to capture the best angles and most creative shots without interrupting the flow of your day.
* Affordable: It’s a more budget-friendly option than traditional full-day videography, but you’ll still be getting a high-quality highlights film that reflects the atmosphere of your wedding.
* Consistent: Being shot on the same cameras in the same style, and because I do all the post-production, your edited film will be have a similar look and feel to the photos and therefore there will be a better overall consistency to the entire set.
* Less admin. With just one person to deal with there’s no extra admin to do as I’ll already have all the details from the photography side of things and you have one less person to manage wedmin with!
