Orchardleigh Estate in Somerset provided the perfect backdrop for Emily and Matthew’s joyous summer wedding. I have shot many weddings at Orchardleigh and always enjoy capturing weddings here as there’s something new to discover each time amongst the expansive grounds, and with the variety of ceremony options and ability to accommodate guests it’s definitely a great option for a celebration!

Emily got ready in good spirts with her sister Rebecca who was Maid of Honour and bridesmaid Jo. Emily wore a mesmerising Hermione de Paula gown with intricate details, delicate embroidery, and a stunning silhouette. The ceremony took place in the ancient church situated in the grounds of the estate. With no electricity it is lit by candlelight which casts a warm glow over proceedings and adding an ethereal touch to the atmosphere. After tying the knot and making it through a delightful confetti tunnel, the newlyweds departed via a classic 1 Series Land Rover Defender with Matthew at the wheel, and he just about managed to tackle the gears! On arrival at Orchardleigh it was drinks on the lawns and terraces before heading into for the wedding breakfast. I had time to take the couple away for a few photos and they just couldn’t stop smiling or laughing in each other’s presence!

Pulteney Bridge Flowers wove their floristry magic throughout the wedding, adding colour and fragrance from the button holes to the bouquet. Emily, showcased her creativity with exquisite floral watercolour illustrations she had made to decorate each table.

Truly Medley Deeply provided the perfect soundtrack for the evening celebration. I love seeing these guys perform as their epic medleys always keep the dance floor alive and the atmosphere electric. During the height of the celebrations, a power cut occurred, was the party over?! Never! The indomitable spirit of the couple and their guests prevailed as everyone joined together, singing and dancing, creating a rather unique moment that I am sure will stay with them fro years to come!

It is always such a pleasure to be a part of a wedding day and I loved the energy and happiness that flowed throughout this one!
