The Long Barn | Francesca and Mark

Winter weddings face an added extra element of risk when it comes to the weather. It might be cold, it might be wet or might be blowing something silly. Francesca and Mark had the driving rain and a brisk wind to deal with for their November wedding at The Long Barn in Hampshire. However, when you plan any wedding, let alone a winter one, the best advice is to just go with it! The weather is out of your control and if you can accept that and roll with whatever cards you’ve been dealt, then you can enjoy the day fully. This is exactly what Francesca and Mark did and with the World Cup Rugby semi-finals keeping everyone on the edge of their seats during the preparations, a solid win from England had had the champagne glasses clinking early!

With the ceremony held at St Stephens Church, Sparsholt the umbrellas were out in force and everyone found refuge in the warmth of the church. A wonderful ceremony full of singing and smiles and one newly married couple made a mad dash through rain and confetti to the car. On arrival at The Long Barn the rain had turned sideways and yet the atmosphere inside couldn’t have bene more inviting. A stunning room setup and music from Truly Medley Deeply got the celebrations underway in style.

Great speeches throughout the meal kept everyone entertained and then it was time… time to go wild! I’ve seen some parties in my time and wow this crowd could not wait to let their hair down! It was an absolute riot and Francesca and the girls even threw in a surprise Irish dancing routine to wow Mark and the guests. The band were immense and with audience participation there was so much for me to shoot!

I hope you enjoy these picks from their day!
