Micro Wedding | Anna & Charlie

Micro wedding photography in Bath

Back in August I got to shoot my first wedding since lockdown when the world turned upside down. Anna and Charlie had planned for their original wedding day last year but a certain little bundle of joy changed that idea! Fast forward to 2020 and with restrictions in place they decided they would adjust their plans again and choose to have a smaller celebration. With just seven guests it was as intimate a wedding as you can imagine. This actually added a real sense that this was something very special to be a part of.

I was only shooting for around three hours on the day, but it still felt like it had all the elements of a normal wedding: a few nerves, excitement, laughter and happy tears!

Anna got ready at the quaint riverside Midford Mill which was where drinks were enjoyed later on. Charlie was waiting at St Mary’s Church in Bath and couldn’t keep a smile off his face the whole day! The wedding ceremony was wonderful to capture. I’m still impressed with my Nikon D850s and their silent shooting capabilities which allow totally unobtrusive documentation of the most important parts of the day.

The newlyweds were treated to some fine weather on their return to Midford and I enjoyed taking them off for a walk and photos around the garden and getting to know them better.

Below are a few selected frames from their day. I’ve written an article about the importance of intimate wedding celebrations if you are thinking about tying the knot with just a few close friends and family.
