The classic Georgian city of Bath, steeped in history from as far back as the Romans, was the stunning archietectural backdrop to Gemma and Sean’s Assembly Rooms wedding. Preparations for the big day began with Bridal Stylists helping to get Gemma getting wedding-ready at the ever-impressive Royal Crescent Hotel, with its outlook across the beautiful Royal Victoria Park. The boys opted for a more low-key changing venue at one of the groomsmen’s very cool nearby house, getting into the spirit of the day by enjoying some lively games of Dobble!

Gemma made the short journey to the Assembly Rooms in a classic car and the ceremony was held in the Great Octagon, adorned with pretty pink and white floral arrangements from Ella at Flowers of Bath. After confetti on the flagstones outside the Assembly Rooms, we made our way to the tranquility of the Botanic Gardens in nearby Royal Victoria Park for their first couple shoot. Luckily, being photo-bombed by an awed group of young European tourists didn’t put the newlyweds off! Back at the Assembly Rooms, the wedding breakfast, followed by much hilarity in the speeches proceeded some fantastic musical entertainment in the form of acoustic band, The Travelling Hands.

I snuck Gemma and Sean out into the cobbled streets surrounding the Bath Assembly Rooms for their second mini shoot, finishing at the magnificent Circus, another of Bath’s architectural masterpieces, and it made for some stunning pictures. The Travelling Hands kept the dance floor full throughout the evening, moving amongst the guests to really get in on the action!
