Wells Cathedral Wedding Photographer

Wells Cathedral Wedding | Julie & Jon

This was my first time photographing a wedding at Wells Cathedral and it didn’t disappoint! Wells Cathedral has over 850 years of history and is a building that simply takes your breath away whether viewing form from inside or out. Julie and Jon held their winter wedding ceremony here in the Quire and my goodness, it is beyond beautiful. I was allowed access to a great vantage point and even my very wide angle lens couldn’t fully convey the magnificence of it all. It was really special to be able to take the couple after their marriage for some photos around the Cloisters and Chapter House and the nearby Vicars Close.

After the ceremony and we headed to Pennard House in Somerset for a fantastic wedding reception. I caught the last of the February sun with Julie and Jon before heading inside to start the celebrations and document the rest of the action. The speeches were a treat and the band warmed everyone up with music through the night!

Here are just a few picks from their wonderful winter wedding day! And if you would like to see other weddings in Wells check out this wedding at Bishops Palace.
