There’s nothing like going through over 25,000 delivered images to find the ones that stand out. 2025 was huge with 42 weddings captured across the country, from high-energy weddings to intimate family-focused celebrations; it was the busiest I’ve ever been, and yet I was never burnt out or lacking in enthusiasm for the next one. I also added a new service to my bow: hybrid shooting. This means I was shooting video alongside the photos, and boy, there are hundreds more decisions to make and no stopping for a second when you’re doing both! But I loved the challenge, and the 12 wedding films I created, I am really proud of. I’ll do a separate post about them soon.
Every year since 2013 (all apart from 2020 and 2024, which I must do something about!) I have done a Best of post. As well as being a nice way to round off the year in review, it also acts as a way back for me personally to see what I captured and those favourite moments. The images that always stand out to me are ones with humour, pure emotion, or energy. Overall, it is the moments that conveyed a feeling or told a story that captivated me, and I hope you will find the same. Weddings are unique in their ability to bring people together; the connections and interactions that occur are the source of constant interest to me as a documentary photographer. It is a job that I have been doing now for 16 years, and I look forward to what weddings in 2026 will bring. So, enough talking, watch the slideshow for a fast-paced rollercoaster of images or take your time and scroll down. Either way, I hope you enjoy this look at some of my favourite images from 2025.
