Wedding Photography at Hagglers Corner, Sheffield
Hagglers Corner, Sheffield Wedding | Jewls & Matt
Well what an absolute blast it was photographing Jewls and Matt’s Hagglers Corner wedding! This was my first experience of photographing a wedding in Sheffield and it was an explosion of colour and happiness from start to finish. With the number of awesome wedding suppliers involved, I knew it would be a feast for the senses as you’ll see!
Getting Ready
Everyone got ready at the Mercure Hotel and the girls had their expert hair and make up applied by Jenn Edwards & Co. Jewls had two wedding dresses: one from Stonefox Bride and the other from Rolling in Roses - both were sublime. The chaps struggled somewhat with putting on their bow ties and braces but looked amazing in the Adam Waite suits and Dr Martens boots when done!
Ceremony
The church service was held at Saint Augustine Church with the bridesmaids choosing a VW camper van from Vintage Volksweddings and the bride in a Mustang from Superior Motor Cars to arrive in style. Strettone Quartet’s music filled the church as they left as newlyweds and we went off to the reception to see what awaited us at Hagglers Corner.
Reception
Wedding photography at Hagglers Corner is a treat! It is a hidden gem of a wedding venue in Sheffield. During the week it offers creatives and music lovers a space to perform and hang out and can turn itself into a canvas for people to create their perfect wedding. This wedding was no exception and it was decked out quite magnificently with an abundance of floral delights by Orchis Floral Design and one of the most stunning wedding breakfast setups I’ve ever seen awaited guests. After a warm confetti-covered welcome for Jewls and Matt, there was lots for guests to do from fun at the glitter station by Wish Upon a Sparkle or snaps at the photobooth by Old School Booth but to top it all, a caricaturist - Draw A Crowd Caricatures (Mengistu Etim) - had already drawn every guest in advance!
Evening
After the wedding breakfast by Italian Uno, we were brought together for a second ceremony of the day, a touching and meaningful humanist celebration taken by Clare at When Life Changes which saw the couple perform a symbolic hand-fasting. It was now time to party and Jewls and Matt’s friend warmed us up with some epic drumming before Kings of The Dancefloor started and welcomed the newlyweds to their first dance, which culminated in an eruption of confetti cannons by Fun Bounce Entertainment!
