Joanna & Alistair’s spectacular Summer wedding at Worcester Lodge, Badminton Estate

Joanna & Alistair // Worcester Lodge, Badminton Estate

Last summer saw me photographing Joanna and Alistair wedding at Worcester Lodge on the Badminton Estate. It was a day that blended English countryside charm with wonderful celebrations and some horsey hilarity thrown in for good measure!

The wedding ceremony was held at the parish church on the Badminton Estate, a landmark steeped in local history. It has a really a stunning interior, and some of the tallest pews I’ve ever seen!  Once married the couple exited in style (once Ali had got it started!) in a beautiful 1991 Nissan Figaro vintage car from Lil and Blue, I followed the couple and we grabbed some relaxed shots of them together on the drive across the Estate to Worcester Lodge.

The marquee supplied by Original Marquee Company, created the perfect celebrations space. The flowers, drapes and overall styling were beautifully executed by Sorori Design Events Ltd, whose creative touches brought colour, texture and seasonal blooms to every corner of the marquee. After speeches and a delicious wedding breakfast, served by the talented team from Pasetti & Boote, guests took on some horsey hijinks… hobby horse racing! With a challenging event course - this was Badminton after all - jockeys gave it their all to win and lots of horses failed to finish!

As the sun began to set, the party came alive with more live music (there was an ace earlier acoustic set during the drinks reception) from The Small Band Company, whose energetic performance brought guests to their feet and kept the dance floor buzzing well into the evening.

Joanna and Alistair’s wedding was a celebration that reflected their personalities and brought out the very best in friends and family. Worcester Lodge on the Badminton Estate is real treat to photograph and I cannot wait for the next wedding here!

A Historic & Scenic Wedding Venue

Worcester Lodge, part of the Badminton Estate, is a stunning example of English heritage and countryside elegance. Designed in 1746 by the renowned architect William Kent, this Grade I listed building sits in front of a three-mile avenue leading toward Badminton House and offers uninterrupted views of rolling parkland and woodland. It perfectly combines the grandeur of historic architecture with the flexibility of outdoor marquee celebrations.

Marquee weddings at Worcester Lodge allow couples to create a bespoke celebration in a private, scenic setting. The surrounding lawns, flanked by trees and wide-open skies, make an enchanting backdrop for dinner, games, dancing and photographs - whether under crisp white canvas or beneath a cloudless blue sky.
