Homewood Wedding | Clare and James

I really enjoyed being Clare and James’ Homewood wedding photographer, they picked the perfect summer’s day to get married and as you’ll see, used the wonderful grounds at Homewood to the full!

The day started with me dropping in on James and the boys at the Stag Inn pub for a few swift pints (them, not me!) before capturing the final stages of the girls’ bridal prep at Homewood. Clare looked radiant and arrived in style at the Church of St John the Baptist in Hinton Charterhouse where their wedding ceremony took place. Upon exiting as a newly married couple they were greeted to the sound of bagpipes heralding their new status!

A Homewood Wedding

Arriving back at Homewood, the drinks reception was held on the lawns and with a live saxophonist the vibe was very laid back and cool! Garden games kept guests entertained and I enjoyed getting to know Clare and James as I took them off for some photos around the grounds at Homewood. It is always nice to get away for a few minutes as it gives couples a chance to spend some quality time together without interruption. It doesn’t take long and it certainly isn’t about posing! I want to capture what the real relationship is like and I do this by giving people things to do and games to play - anything to help them focus on each other and not on the camera.

The fine set of speeches in the dining room at Homewood prior to the wedding breakfast was a wonderful way for everyone to learn a few things they didn’t know about Clare and James, and was only a little bit embarrassing for the groom! The dance floor was set alight by the band and everyone turned the energy levels up to 11 right the way through the night! A great wedding at Homewood park indeed, I cannot wait to return soon! Here’s a little sample of wedding photography at Homewood from Clare and James day.
