A Winter Wedding at The Little Theatre and Roman Baths

Here we have Sophie and Rob’s charming winter wedding in Bath, which took me to four different locations throughout the Georgian city for the day.
I began coverage with the wedding preparations at No.15 Great Pulteney Street. With everyone looking fabulous (check out Sophie’s super glitzy dress!), we then proceeded to the ceremony at the unique Little Theatre. I particularly enjoyed the personalised movie posters and the red carpet laid out; it definitely had the feel of a premiere! Shooting at this venue presented some challenges due to its low lighting and somewhat restricted places to shoot from, but I was eager to get the best shots possible and push my cameras to the limit! I really liked the atmosphere and rather special scene that unfolded on stage with guests in their comfy cinema seats enjoying the show. To top it off, a wonderful animated Disney short film, chosen by the couple, called Paperman, played on the big screen after the signing.
After sprinkling the newlyweds with confetti, guests were treated to popcorn and champagne before returning inside for speeches from the bride and groom. Our next stop was the Indian Temptation restaurant for a delicious wedding breakfast and further speeches. Following the meal, I whisked Sophie and Rob off for some couple photos, discovering a quiet spot near the Little Theatre where it was easy to capture some lovely moments between them.
The final leg of the festivities took place at The Roman Baths for the evening party. It was a fitting way to conclude my coverage, capturing the first dance and some balloon shenanigans! I always enjoy photographing weddings in my hometown, and this intimate winter celebration was no exception. It goes to show that you can create a memorable celebration to suit your style and taste at any time of year!
